What is a SIPP?
SIPP stands for Self Invested Personal Pension, and is a type of personal pension plan which differs from a traditional pension plan as it allows you greater control regarding how you invest your funds.
The essential SIPP allows all HMRC approved investments including; commercial property in the UK and overseas, investing in an unquoted business, farmland, forestry and a range of green investments such as bio fuel. Unfortunately, many so-called SIPP providers only offer a limited range of investments.
A SIPP is a relatively complex product and we recommend that you take independent financial advice prior to proceeding.
